Monday, May 4, 2009 – Bill Reid:  Master of Haida Art

See the The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art's  inaugural exhibition, which runs until June 7. Highlights of the Bill Reid exhibition include monumental piece Mythic Messengers, The Killer Whale sculpture cast in bronze with jade patina, several of Reid's works that appear on the Canadian $20 bill,  a full-scale totem pole, and many more. See the Pi Theatre (581 Cardero St., 8th Floor) play that has been nominated for four Jessie Richardson Awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Production. John & Beatrice is a modern fairytale that explores the difficulty of making a romantic connection in today's society. Show times are Tuesday and Sunday at 8 pm, and the play continues until May 16.
