Monday, August 2, 2010 -Reflections of Aiko Suzuki

Aiko Suzuki was well known for being a feminist, leader and educator in the arts until her death in 2005. The Japanese Canadian National Museum (6688 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby) presents Tributaries: Reflections of Aiko Suzuki, a display of some of her work, as well as multimedia installations by Joy Kogawa. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 -Queer Arts Festival

Presented by Pride in Art, the Queer Arts Festival continues until August 14 at the Roundhouse Community Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews). Artists include Sara Davis Buechner, Morgan Brayton, James Howell, and many more. Find info on the Queer Arts website.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010 -A Hard Day's Night

See the critically-acclaimed film about the Fab Four. The film kicks off with a train ride from Liverpool to London, and follows the Beatles as they get into all kinds of antics.
