Greatest Vancouver Canuck Players 2000-Present

  • Markus Naslund - 1995-2008

  • Markus Naslund - Vancouver Canucks
Graceful, quiet and electric, "Nazzy" has been amazing fans since he arrived from Pittsburgh in 1996. (Although we prefer his Swedish nickname "Macke"). In that time, he has amassed 346 goals, while we've only amassed crippling credit card debt and a collection of unopened Thunder Cats figurines.

  • Ed Jovanovski - 1998-2006

  • Ed Jovanovski - Vancouver Canucks
Probably responsible for a high number of heart attacks during his tenure here, Jovo's "all or nothing style" was anything if not exciting. He played seven wonderful seasons here before the relentless rain (and heaps of money) drove him to Phoenix. Unfortunately, all the dorks who insisted on calling him "Jovocop" didn't follow.

  • Roberto Luongo - 2006-Present

  • Roberto Luongo - Vancouver Canucks
He's carrying the under/over-achieving team on his broad shoulders and has us set for a playoff run. The newly appointed goalie captain of the Vancouver Canucks has set his sights on hockeys holy grail. Roberto has come to Vancouver sporting a new haircut and hopefully can rejuvenate these boys into a winner.

  • Todd Bertuzzi - 1997-2006

  • Todd Bertuzzi - Vancouver Canucks
Few Canucks have been more exciting, or more frustrating. Blessed with impressive size and enviable hands, this prototype power forward was on his way to superstardom until he tried to kill Steve Moore. This rather significant mistake attracted heaps of unwanted attention and lawsuits. As the off-ice problems mounted, Bertuzzi's play declined and he was shipped off to Florida, leaving many fans to wonder what could have been.

  • Mattias Ohlund - 1997-Present

  • Mattias Ohlund - Vancouver Canucks
He doesn't pound his chest, ride his stick, or get caught in Brandi's with guns. He just goes out night after night and plays top shelf defence, usually against the other team's best player (just ask Jarome Iginla). Throw in the occasional thunderous hit and a surprising 77 goals over 9 seasons, and this unassuming Swede is clearly one of the best out there. Good thing he's ours.
